About Lotus Pelvic Health & Wellness
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in Avon, Connecticut
Inclusive, affirming pelvic health care for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel concerns, and sexual health.
Rooted in Compassion. Focused on Healing.
Lotus Pelvic Health & Wellness was founded with a simple mission: to provide specialized, compassionate pelvic floor physical therapy in a space where patients feel heard, respected, and fully supported.
What began in March 2023 as a mobile, in-home pelvic health practice has grown into a welcoming clinic in Avon, Connecticut, now serving the Farmington Valley and Hartford County with an expanding team of dedicated pelvic health providers.
Today, Lotus Pelvic Health offers one-on-one, personalized care for individuals of all genders navigating pregnancy and postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual health concerns, post-surgical healing, and men’s pelvic health- all within a calm, private, and inclusive environment designed for true healing.
Our Treatment Approach
At Lotus Pelvic Health, we believe pelvic health care should be personalized, compassionate, and rooted in movement-science and patient education. Our approach combines a deep understanding of pelvic anatomy with real-world functional movement to help your body move and feel better- not just in therapy, but in everyday life.
One-on-One Care
Every session is individualized and unhurried, giving you time to ask questions and truly explore what your body needs without feeling rushed.
Education First
Understanding how your body works empowers you to participate actively in your recovery. We break down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps so you feel confident at home and during activity.
Consent-Based Internal Work
When internal pelvic floor assessment or treatment is indicated, it is always consent-based, explained clearly, and never performed without your permission. You are in control of your care.
Holistic, Whole-Body Focus
Pelvic health doesn’t exist in isolation — muscles around the hips, low back, and core influence how you move and hold tension. We assess and treat these areas as part of your comprehensive plan.
Manual Therapy
Hands-on techniques are used to reduce muscle tension, improve tissue mobility, and relieve discomfort in the pelvis, hips, and surrounding areas.
Therapeutic Exercise
Targeted exercises help restore strength, coordination, and motor control of the pelvic floor, core, and supporting muscles so your body can function more efficiently in daily life.
Breathing & Relaxation Strategies
The pelvic floor works closely with the diaphragm and nervous system. Guided breathing and relaxation techniques are used to improve muscle coordination, reduce tension, and support overall pelvic health.
Movement Analysis
We assess how your hips, low back, and core move together to identify patterns that may be contributing to symptoms, then build a plan that supports healthier, more comfortable movement. Our therapy sessions are not only effective, but designed to meet your unique needs and aspirations for recovery.
